I’m officially wrapping up week 3 of the D in Decor blog, yipay!
This week:
* I briefly introduced to you my kitchen, and my literal boo boo kitty Lula (well. maybe not the boo boo part).
* Bureau of Urban Living was featured as our first shop guide.
* I also got a chance to sit with Bureau’s shop owner, Claire Nelson, for a more in depth interview.
* Craig’s List has got you covered in the seating department.
*You got linked in for the first time.
* And…lots of cool events happening this weekend!
Monday. Be there or be square.

This week I have not one, not two, not even three, but four modern seating options for you to peruse:
* Walled Lake: Modern Sofa from Bright Ideas.
* Dearborn: Black, Leather, & Chrome. $50. Two available. Need I say more?
* Detroit: Model Six Stools by Jeff Covey produced by Herman Miller, currently showing at MOMA. Not just functional, it’s art! Own them.
* Ann Arbor: Room & Board sofa, and it’s less than a year old! Probably worth the drive.

Ever since I saw a distressed brown leather sofa in an Anthropologie display at Somerset Collection, I have been dying to have one. I found a sofa with a similar look on Detroit Craigs List today. Here’s more info…
Description:
Luxurious Brown Italian Leather Couch from Macy’s / Hudsons. Beautiful large over-stuffed style in super soft brown leather. It is from the “Chateau d’Ax” collection by DIVANI. This couch measures 90” in length and 38” in depth. It seats three adults easily or you can stretch out with plenty of length from head to foot. It has been very lightly used in an office setting and is in excellent condition. A beautiful addition to any living room, family room, library or den. This couch was over $3,500.00 when new. Must Sell. $999.00.
What a steal at $999.00, I wonder if the condition is as good as it appears on photo. I really wish this were in my budget, because it appears to be quite fabulous. If you’re interested in buying, click here to contact the seller…tell them The D in Decor sent you!

These treasures come in a cool green that bares a striking resemblance to the “Shady Glade” green from the Pantone Fashion Color Report for Fall 2008. I think these would look lovely around a wooden or white table, or use a single chair in a hallway of a contrasting hue.
About Shady Glade:
“Serving as a wonderful base color, Shady Glade delivers a natural elegance to the fall palette. Taking green in an interesting direction with its true green characteristics, this hue is a departure from greens of seasons past, which have had distinctively yellow undertones.” – Pantone
