Today was a rainy and dreary day in Detroit and as the queen of procrastination; I waited until this evening to start working on painting my living room. Nothing major, but I’m painting the eggshell walls a bright white to liven up the place, with an accent wall in a bright neon yellow (similar to the yellow you see on this blog). I’m thinking about outlining the windows in black, but I don’t know how it will turn out (or if my husband is going to be feeling that). Since I’m saving the before/after photos for later, here is something I’ve been meaning to post ever since I first saw it on CasaSugar but hadn’t gotten around to:

Pharrell\'s Perspective Chair

Turns out my oh so fresh kindred spirit Pharrell Williams has taken his creativity to the next level, from fashion to furniture design! Take a look at this chair he designed with Domeau & Pérès called “Perspective”. On his blog Pharrell says “”I had often wondered what it’s like to truly be in love, not lust for once . . . So I decided not to ask what it was like in someone else’s shoes or what it was like to sit in their seat . . . I decided to sketch out my own experiment; the perspective chair.”

I can appreciate his art, but it is a little too freaky deaky for my taste. It also has a creepy vibe to it, like perhaps the chair will come to life at midnight and try to sneak into my room with a Barry White mixtapes..yikes. Gotta love Pharrell for taking risks and expanding his creativity though. Coincidentally, my Paper magazine arrived in the mail with the multitalented music-maker on the cover, holding his “murse” (man purse). It’s undeniable that this guy has trend-setting style, so here’s hoping that we don’t start seeing men carrying murses this season. Chances are I would never forgive him for that.
