A few of my favorite things from Urban Outfitters

Urban Outfitters Origami Birds Urban Outfitters Lulu Chair - Green Leaf Urban Outfitter's Spectrum Chandelier Toilet Paper & Magazine Stand from Urban Outfitters Urban Outfitters Sunburst Clocl Mini Punch Lantern Set of 2 Branch Hooks from UO

We creative folks have a love/hate relationship with UO. We love it, because where else can you find the latest trendy, colorful, and kitschy home decor pieces at such great prices? And hate it, because, well #1 not all of their stuff is of the best quality, #2 they have been known to blatantly copy other artists designs, and #3 Politics. Nevertheless, I am guilty of doing a bit of in store and online browsing now and again (ok, all of the time)…so here are a few of my favorite things guilty pleasures from Urban Outfitters this season.

1. Mini Punch Lantern Back in the day (2 years ago), I used to be obsessed with Pier 1. I still have a soft spot for certain things that looks like they would belong there, this lantern would fit right in with their overpriced imported goods.

2. Sunburst Clock I’ve always wanted one of these mid century modern sunburst clocks. But why so expensive UO?

3. Indio Storage Side Table New this season. Faux Danish Modern, can’t believe they actually used real hardwood! Or did they?

4. Set of 2 Branch Hooks This is one of those things that I always say I’m going to buy later, and then when I finally get ready to buy it, its out of stock.

2. Toilet Paper & Magazine Stand Just proves what I have been saying for years now: Everyone reads about Mary-Kate Olson when they poop. Brilliant!

3. Spectrum Chandelier For $36.00, is affordably awesome. I’m a sucker for a lot of bright colors, so this one is a no-brainer for me.

4. Lulu Chair Reminds me of those expensive Anthropologie upholstered chairs, that I can’t afford. Aww who am I kidding, I can’t afford this chair either.

5. Origami Bird Decals These are just lovely. Brings me back to my elementary Japaneses class days, when “learning Japanese culture” consisted of origami-making and watching My Neighbor Totoro (classic!).

You can browse Urban Outfitters online or take your butt on over to the physical store at Somerset.
